MIAMI — FIU's football program and FIU Alumni are set to host a 'Cocktails with Coach' event with Head Coach Willie Simmons at Pitbull Stadium on Thursday, March 12. 

Alumni and guests are encouraged to join the FIU football family and FIU Alumni for a high-energy evening of connection, conversations and cocktails. This event comes on the heels of one of FIU Football's best seasons in program history as the Panthers qualified for a bowl game for the first time since 2019 in Coach Simmons' first season. Along the way, FIU's 2025 campaign was highlighted by a historic four-game win streak and its one-sided defeat of rival-Fla. Atlantic in the Shula Bowl for the first time since 2016. 

At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with Coach Simmons and his coaching staff along with FIU leadership over light bites and drinks. 

'Cocktails with Coach' will take place on Pitbull Stadium's North Concourse on March 12 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include two drink tickets and appetizer-type fare. Attendees will also have an exclusive chance to purchase game-worn jerseys at the event. 

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to hear directly about the momentum behind Panther football and how your support is essential to sustaining and advancing FIU's success, both on the field and across the university.
