2010 (Redshirt Junior): Earned his first start of the season at right guard at Pitt (10/2) and went on to start every game thereafter, earning 10 starts on the season… Helped the o-line allow just 1.54 sacks-per-game, good enough for 38th in the country … The o-line as a whole received an ESPN.com helmet sticker against Troy (11/13) when they opened holes for the running game to the tune of a program-record 448 rushing yards.Â

South Miami Senior High School: Rated the No. 76 offensive tackle in the country by Scout.com...selected to the 10th annual Nike South Florida All-Star Game...second-team all-county offensive guard by the Miami Herald who was named among the Herald’s Top 25 Miami-Dade recruits (No. 16)...graded out at 85 percent for the season with 15 pancake blocks and without allowing a sack...recorded 22 solo tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery on defense...a two-star prospect by Rivals.com...selected FIU over interest shown by Marshall, Ole Miss, North Carolina State, Memphis, South Florida, Central Florida and Colorado...also participated in wrestling and track and field.
