2012 (Senior): Appeared in all games during his senior season…was also a key member of the special teams unit…finished with 13 tackles, including six solo…also had one tackle for loss for five yards…had a career-high five tackles in the road win at South Alabama (11/3).
2011 (Junior): In his first season at FIU, played in 11 games and started one...started vs. Middle Tennessee (11/26)...finished with 14 tackles, including nine solo stops...also had two tackles for loss for 20 yards, one sack for 17 yards, two passes broken up and one forced fumble...sack came against UCF (9/17), while forcing a fumble...had a tackle for loss at ULM (11/19).
Itawamba C.C.: An All-Region III First-Team pick in junior college, and also made the MACJC Second Team All-State...was recruited by Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State...played both cornerback and safety in 2010, recording 68 tackles, two interceptions, nine pass breakups, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Abderdeen: Played at both cornerback and wide receiver for the Bulldogs, and also participated on the basketball team…brother, Travis, played football at Mississippi…following his senior season in 2008, was selected to play in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic in Mobile, Ala…was regarded as one of the top prospects at his position in the state…Scout.com had him listed as a Mississippi Top 40 prospect…Clarion Ledger All-State Second-Team…Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal All-Area First-Team…as a senior, caught 35 passes for 710 yards and seven touchdowns and had 510 yards returning kicks and punts...helped Aberdeen advance to the Class 3A North Half State championship game, only falling to the eventual state champion, and finish the season at 11-3…as a junior led, Class 3A in receiving yards hauling in 44 passes for 1,025 yards and nine touchdowns…also in 2007, had 59 yards rushing and 31 tackles on defense…was named to the 2007 Class 2A-3A All-Region Super 24 Football Team…2007 Mississippi Association of Coaches Class 3A Second Team All-State.
