Prior to FIU: Played for Angel Herrera at Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, Fla., where he was a first-team all-county shortstop his junior and senior seasons and honorable mention all-state… He hit .503 with four home runs and 34 RBI his junior year and .399 with two home runs and 29 RBI his senior year when he was named Miami Killian Male Athlete of the Year… He was district champions in 2010 and 2012 and GMAC Champions… He was named team MVP his junior and senior seasons… Played for the Florida Legends… Also recruited by Elon, Maine and Ball State.
