2013 (Senior): Started in all 12 of FIU’s games in 2014…Finished his Panther career with 12 career quarterback hurries, a school record… Was second among FIU defensive lineman with a career-high 44 tackles…Led the team in sacks and forced fumbles and was tied for third in the conference in forced fumbles, averaging 0.25 per contest…His 9.5 tackles for loss were good for 14th in C-USA.
2012 (Junior): Earned third-team All-Sun Belt honors from Phil Steele…played in all 12 games, starting 10 at defensive end…totaled 30 tackles, including 22 solo stops, 9.0 tackles for loss for 31 yards, 2.0 sacks for 14 yards, one interception in the Akron game (9/8), two pass break-ups, three quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles…had multiple tackles in seven games…finished second among defensive linemen in tackles…in the WKU game (10/27), along with eight tackles vs. the Hilltoppers, also had three tackles for loss, including two sacks, a forced fumble, a pass break-up and a quarterback hurry…earned national honorable mention recognition from College Football Performance Awards in week #9 vs. WKU…closed the season with five tackles vs. ULM (11/24)…received All-Sun Belt Conference preseason honors from Athlon’s and Phil Steele publications...was FIU’s leading returning defensive lineman for tackles and sacks.
2011 (Sophomore): Played in 13 games, starting three: North Texas (9/1), Louisville (9/9) and Duke (10/1)...totaled 34 tackles, five sacks, 11 tackles for loss, two pass break-ups, six quarterback hurries and one forced fumble...tackles for loss total was third-highest on the team...finished ninth in the Sun Belt, for both sacks (0.38 per game) and tackles for loss (11.0)...helped the defensive line to be nationally ranked No. 14 scoring defense, No. 15 in sacks, No. 22 rush defense and No. 30 total defense...had a sack and a 34-yard interception return vs. Middle Tennessee (11/26)...had seven tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss in win at Louisville (9/9)...had five tackles at WKU (11/5)...had two sacks in season-opening win vs. North Texas (9/1).
2010 (Freshman): Played in 10 contests…began the year stellar against Rutgers (9/11), in which he recorded three tackles, including two for loss and one sack, and forced a fumble…had two tackles, including one for loss and his second sack of the season at Texas A&M (9/18)…had one tackle against Pittsburgh (10/2) and two stops against WKU (10/9).
Tampa Bay Technical: Committed to FIU on Dec. 20, 2009…rated three stars from Rivals and was their No. 69 defensive tackle prospect nationally…as a senior, helped led Tampa Bay Tech to a 10-2 record, recording 82 tackles, over 20 tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, a blocked punt and blocked field goal…2009 Associated Press Class 5A All-State Second Team…2009 Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County Football Team First-Team Defense…2009 All-District 8-4A First-Team…selected to the South All-Star team for the 2009 Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Football Classic…selected to the East roster for the 2009 Under Armour Hillsborough County All-Star Football Game…transferred from Middleton High, where he rushed for 265 yards scoring five touchdowns and made 63 tackles on defense in 2008…2008 Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County Football Team Honorable Mention…2008 All-Western Conference Football Team American Division First-Team Defense…as a sophomore, earned 2007 Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County Football Team Honorable Mention...played for CC Culpepper.
