FIU Athletics

2013 (Sophomore): Played in five games, primarily on special teams…tallied one reception for six yards vs. UCF (9/6).

2012 (Redshirt Freshman): Did not appear in any games.

2011 (Freshman): Redshirted the 2011 season…received an academic scholarship to attend FIU and walked on to the FIU football program.

Bayside: Was one of the state’s top dual-threat quarterbacks coming out of high school with several academic scholarship offers awaiting him...2010 Florida Today Offensive Player of the Year and All-Space Coast First-Team…Central Florida All-Star Game West Team MVP…2010 Florida Today All-District Team for Brevard County...played for Mike Davis (2008-09) and Derek Smith (2010-11)...assisted team to a 10-3 record as a senior and a second -straight District 11 championship...threw for 2,310 yards, ran for 951 more and had 34 all-purpose touchdowns (23 passing, 11 rushing) as a senior...team went 9-3 and won the district...also participated in track and field in 2010-11, advancing to the regional finals in the triple jump...was a member of the National Honor Society and Friends of Rachel…was an academic lettermen in addition to athletics…was awarded the Best All-Around Student for Area 1 (region).

Personal: Parents - H. Richard Burrows and Carries Van Asdale Burrows...siblings - Alexis and Sarah...born July 24, 1992...majoring in recreational therapy...began playing football at age six...played youth football with the West Melbourne Cowboys...received an academic scholarship to attend FIU and walked on to the FIU football program.
