As a Junior (2013): Became one of FIU’s primary relievers during the 2013 season…Notched four saves for the Panthers…Made 26 appearances and led the Panthers in wins…Struck out 50 batters over 46 1/3 innings of work…His first 7 1/3 innings of 2013 were scoreless…Opened the season with a strong relief outing against Stony Brook (2/16), going two innings of no-hit ball with three strikeouts…Threw 2 1/3 scoreless and hitless innings of relief vs. Manhattan (2/22)…Struck out four and didn’t allow a hit in two innings of work against USF (3/12)…Pitched in all three games of the WKU series and didn’t allow a run in 4 1/3 combined innings of work…Picked up his first save of the season vs. Arkansas State (3/30)…Struck out two and didn’t allow a run in two innings of work vs. Arkansas State (3/31) to earn his second-straight save…Earned the win vs. Louisiana (4/26), striking out four over two innings while not allowing a hit…Pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief at UALR (5/11)…Struck out two over two shutout innings of relief against Florida Atlantic (5/18)…Picked up his fourth save of the season vs. UALR in the SBC Tournament (5/23).

Prior to FIU: Played for Grayson and Northeast Texas Junior College after attending Castleberry High School in Fort Worth, Texas… While at Northeast Texas, he was named all-conference with a 5-1 record and a 2.50 ERA while making the dean’s list… Was part of conference championship teams at both Grayson and Northeast Texas while reaching the JUCO World Series with Grayson in 2011… At Castleberry, he was named Freshman of the Year and District MVP his sophomore, junior and senior seasons… He was a career .400 hitter in high school and compiled an 8-1 record with a 1.20 ERA his senior year… Was named to the National Honor Society in high school … He was also recruited by TCU and Coastal Carolina.

Personal: Born on April 30, 1992 in Fort Worth, Texas… Son of Christy and Chuck Davis… Has one sister, Georgeanne… Enjoys spending time with friends and family and fishing… Majoring in criminal justice and plans to become a SWAT officer or a member of border patrol.
