Junior (2016): Third on the team with a .294 average...Tied for second on the team with 13 doubles (Jack Schaaf)...Second on the team with 11 stolen bases...Had 63 hits, a triple, three home runs and 23 RBI...Had an eight-game hitting streak (2/23-3/5) where he went 11 for 32 (.344)...Was 5 for 6 with two home runs and six RBI at Bethune-Cookman (3/29)...Named Conference USA Player of the Week (4/4) after going 11 for 19 during the week, including a 6 for 13 weekend against UTSA...Had an 11-game hitting streak (3/26-4/16) where he went 22 for 48 (.458).

Redshirt Sophomore (2015): Hit .288 with a home run and 26 RBI...Third on the team with five steals in six attempts...Tied for second on the team with a .991 fielding percentage...Played catcher and right field...Was 5 for 12 with 5 RBI against Manhattan (2/27-3/1)...Was 4 for 9 against Connecticut (3/6-8)...Was 6 for 13 against Charlotte (3/20-22)...Was 5 for 11 with a home run against WKU (4/17-19)...Was 4 for 5 with 3 RBI and a double against Palm Beach Atlantic (4/22)...Was 4 for 11 at Old Dominion (5/2-3)...At the Conference USA Tournament, went 5 for 17.

Prior to FIU: Played for Coach Mike Zunica at St. Rita of Cascia High School in Chicago, IL…was All-Conference, All-Area, 3rd Team All-State, All-Region, Louisville slugger All-American his junior year, senior year was Pre-Season All-American, All-Conference, and all area…Maintained honor roll and dean’s list awards through high school…Also played travel ball for Coach Todd Kuska…previously attended the University of Louisville and Mesa Community College where he was named all-conference,  all-region and 1st team all-tournament (D2 JUCO World Series)…also recruited by University of Central Florida, University of California-Santa Barbara and Dallas Baptist University…2nd Team all-conference senior year for football at St. Rita of Cascia.
 
Personal: Born on 10/29/93, son of Robert and Deborah Soria in Chicago, IL…has two younger brothers, Nate and Blake…Played in 2006 Little League World Series Great Lakes, and made a web gem…currently majoring in Finance…father played college baseball at St. Xavier University.
