2016 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in 11 games in the defensive backfield, starting in three…Recorded 50 total tackles (33 solo) with two pass breakups…Finished No. 4 on the team in total tackles and solo tackles…Recorded at least two tackles in all 12 games, including a career-best eight at Charlotte (10/15)…Had four-or-more tackles in eight games…Ended the season with six tackles (four solo) at Old Dominion (11/26)…Registered five tackles (two solo versus Marshall (11/19)…Notched four tackles at WKU (11/5)…Recorded a career-high eight tackles, including six solo at Charlotte (10/15)…Registered five tackles in three-straight games (vs. Maryland – 9/9; at UMass – 9/17; vs. UCF – 9/24)…Made season debut, recording four tackles (three solo) versus Indiana (9/1).

2014 (Freshman): Appeared in all 12 games for the Panthers...Registered 13 totals tackles (12 solo) with one interception, one forced fumble and one pass breakup...Tied a career-high three tackles (all solo) versus Rice (11/1)...Recorded a career-high three tackles at UTSA (10/11)...Notched first collegiate interception versus Wagner (9/6)...Also forced a fumble while registering two tackles versus the Seahawks...Made FIU debut versus Bethune-Cookman (8/30).

Northwestern: Led team in tackles his senior year with 75 stops…had two interceptions and a fumble recovery…led team to the regional semifinals…collected 63 tackles and led team with two interceptions in 2012…made the honor roll at Northwestern in the fall semester.

Personal: Parents – Samuel and Crystal Spence…siblings – Tiffany, Samuel, Sean…brother, Sean, played at the University of Miami and is a current member of the Pittsburgh Steelers…sister, Shannon, ran track at Ole Miss…began playing football at age six…enjoys Moto-Cross, fishing and hunting in his spare time…plans on majoring in criminal justice.
