Biography

High School: Pitched at Viera HS in Melbourne, Fla...ranked as the 32nd best left-handed pitcher in the state of Florida according to Perfect Game...in senior season, posted an 1.58 ERA in 13 games, making eight starts, striking out 76 batters in 48.2 innings with a save...4x District Champion, 2x Regional Champ, State Runner-Up in 2023, and 2x All Cape Coast Conference Team.

Personal: Born on Oct. 12, 2006...parents are Alan and Erika Confreda...sisters name is Riley...father played hockey at Norwich University.

What’s one fun fact about you that most people don’t know?: I was in gymnastics for 3 years
Who was your favorite MLB player growing up — and what did you learn from them?: David Ortiz, watching him be so calm in big moments and still being able to execute his job and carry his team meant a lot to me and how I envision the game on the mound. It’s helped me to stay focused and determined to do my job and block out all outside noise 
If you could trade places with any teammate for a day, who would it be and why?: Andrew Ildefonso, I wanna be able to lift as much as that guy! He’s always so positive and fun to be around 
You’re building the perfect gas station snack combo — what’s in your lineup?: Mike & Ike’s and a Smartwater
What’s your “why” — what motivates you to keep getting better every day?: My family, I want to go out every day and thank them for the things they’ve done for me to be here. I wouldn’t be at FIU without them in my life.
Who’s someone who’s had the biggest impact on your baseball journey?: My Dad. He’s always the first one to tell me how proud he is of me when I do well and help me when I struggle. I am forever thankful for him.
