Prior to FIU: Played high school ball at Columbus where he was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Player of the Year...Earned a spot on the Class 8A first team and was named All-Miami-Dade Pitcher of the Year...Went 12-1 in his senior season...Won a state baseball championship with Columbus last season...Earned a Marist Honors Achievement Award in Mathematics in 2014 and 2015. 

Personal: Born Dec. 6, 1996...Son of Angel and Milagros Coipel...Has a younger brother, Christian...Majoring in finance.
