2011 (Redshirt Sophomore): Successfully returned from Tommy John surgery, posting a 1-1 record with a 3.56 ERA in 30.1 innings pitched... Appeared in 27 games, good enough for third on the team... Struck out 37 batters... Combined with four other pitchers in a shutout of St. Thomas University (2/23)... Fourth on the team striking out 16 batters looking... Was 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 15 appearances in conference action... Had a pristine ERA in 5.2 innings pitched against ranked opponents (Texas A&M, Baylor and Stetson)... Pitched a season-high 2.1 innings of relief against Baylor (3/15)... Had 13 multi-strikeout games... Pitched two-third of an inning against Maine (6/4) in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, giving up a hit, a walk and striking out a batter... Is one-half of the "Dueling Dragons" along with lefty D.J. Swatscheno.
2010 (Sophomore): Medical redshirt season... Sat out the season recovering from Tommy John surgery.
2009 (Freshman): Participated in 22 games including one start... Posted an 0-2 record with an 8.06 ERA in 22.1 innings pitched... Third on the team with 21 relief appearances... Struck out 23 batters... Had a season-high four strikeouts at home against Florida Memorial (3/11)... Recorded three-straight scoreless appearances from 5/8-5/20.
Prior to FIU: Attended Killian High School in Miami, Fla.... Named Miami Herald First Team All-Miami Dade in 2007 after posting an 8-5 record with a 1.89 ERA.
