Junior (2019): Appeared in 14 games, starting 14… Went 4-5 with a 3.91 ERA… Pitched 76 innings allowing 97 hits against 68 strikeouts with a .312 BAVG… Went six plus innings in seven of his starts… Pitched seven innings of one-run ball with six hits and four Ks against Florida Atlantic on 3/30… Tied his career-high with nine strikeouts on 5/11 against Southern Miss.

Sophomore (2018): Appeared in fourteen games, started 11... Was 3-4 with a 4.26 ERA. . Pitched 67.2 innings allowing 66 hits, 69 strikeouts and .266 AVG. . . Had eight starts pitching five innings or more... Pitched seven innings allowing four hits, no earned runs, three walks and four strikeouts in a win against UAB (4/8)...  Pitched six inning allowing four hits, no runs, two walks and eight strikeouts in a win against FAMU (2/27)... Player in the Cape Cod League over the summer for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. 

Freshman (2017): Named to Conference USA All-Freshman team...Named Freshman All-America by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper...Went 7-3 with a 4.29 ERA...Appeared in 15 games, started 13...Pitched 71 1/3 innings, allowed 67 hits, 34 earned runs, walked 30 and struck out 68...Earned first collegiate win in 5-3 defeat of Manhattan (3/5), pitched a season-high 7 2/3 innings, allowed two hits, one run and struck out a season-high nine...Pitched six shutout innings in 9-0 win at Stetson (3/14)...Allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of his 13 starts...Started season 6-0 before first loss against Marshall (3/21).

Prior to FIU: Played at Flanagan where he earned team MVP honors his senior season...Named Pitcher of the Year twice (2015 and 2016)...Recruited by Alabama State, Miami, Tennessee, Kentucky and Central Florida.

Personal: Son of Lonny and Rachelle MacDonald...Majoring in sport management...Uncle Ray Nelson played in the NFL.
