Jeffrey Birchell joined FIU in January of 2021 and serves as the Athletic Trainer for FIU baseball.  In addition to Athletic Training Certifications, Birchell has a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification through the NASM as well as Intravenous Therapy Administration certification.
 
Prior to FIU, Jeff was an Athletic Trainer at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, for five seasons where he was responsible for men's soccer, men's basketball, softball and golf.  In 2019, Jeff was part of the Men's Basketball NAIA National Runner-Up team for Carroll College making it to the National Championship game in Kansas City, Missouri.  
 
Birchell received his Master's of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Lamar University in 2016.  While obtaining his degree, Birchell served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Lamar University baseball with his BOC National Certification and Texas State Licensure.
 
A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Birchell received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Oklahoma State University in 2014.
