Redshirt Junior (2021): Appeared in 14 games, starting all 14… Was 7-4 with a 5.43 ERA… Pitched 71.1 innings allowing 43 earned runs with 67 strikeouts and a .273 BAVG… Struck out a career-high 13 against Miami (OH) on 2/26… Pitched a one-run complete game at Middle Tennessee on 5/15… Struck out five or more batters in six of his 14 starts… Ranks 15th in FIU history with 191 career strikeouts… Ranked sixth in all of C-USA with seven wins in 2021.

Redshirt Junior (2020): Appeared in four games, starting in all four... Was 0-2 with a 6.50 ERA... Pitched 18 innings allowing 13 earned runs, 12 strikeouts and .319 BAVG... Returned to action against Fordham on 2/15 after missing the entire 2019 season due to Tommy John surgery. Pitched six innings of seven-hit, three earned run ball with three strikeouts in a losing effort against Pepperdine on 2/29. *Canceled due to COVID-19 Outbreak*

Junior (2019): Redshirted due to injury.

Sophomore (2018): Was 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA... Appeared in 15 games, started 11... Pitched 53.2 innings allowing 29 hits, 23 earned runs, walked 25 and struck out 55. 

Freshman (2017): Named to Conference USA All-Freshman team...named Freshman All-America by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper...Was 6-2 with a team-leading 3.73 ERA...Appeared in 15 games, started 10...pitched a team-high 72 1/3 innings, allowed 71 hits, 30 earned runs, walked 28 and struck out 57...Earned first collegiate win in 3-2 defeat of Miami (3/8), pitched five innings, allowed two hits, one run and struck out seven...allowed three earned runs or fewer in 9 of his 10 starts...pitched seven shutout innings against Western Kentucky in 6-0 win (5/19), allowed five hits, one walk and struck out six.

Prior to FIU: Played at Columbia High where he was named Pitcher of the Year in 2015...Helped the Tigers to the district championship in 2015 and 2016...Recruited by Alabama State.

Personal: Son of William and April Murphy...Majoring in sport management.
