Biography

2015 (Senior): Appeared in all 12 games for the Panthers, starting in four...Finished the year with a single-season-best 21 catches for 238 yards...Averaged 11.3 yards-per-catch...Ranked No. 5 on the team in receptions and receiving yards...Recorded a team-high four catches for 45 yards at Marshall (11/14)...Set a career mark in receiving yards with 71 on four catches, including a career-long 40-yard catch at Florida Atlantic (10/31)...Had two catches for 41 yards, including a then-career-long 30-yard reception versus Old Dominion (10/24)...Grabbed a career-high six receptions for a career-best 48 yards at Middle Tennessee (10/17)...Recorded two catches at LA Tech (9/26)...Made season debut, primarily on special teams at UCF (9/3).

2014 (Junior): Appeared in all 12 games for the Panthers, starting in five...Registered nine catches for 65 yards...His nine catches were a career single-season best...Recorded at least one catch in each of the team’s last five games...Had two catches versus Middle Tennessee (11/15)...Notched a career-high 40 yards receiving while tying a career-best in catches (3) versus Marshall (10/18)...Also recorded a career-long 27-yard reception versus the Thundering Herd in first start of the season...Made first catch of the season at UAB (9/27)...Also tallied five tackles on special teams, including a career-high three at North Texas (11/22)...Named to the 2014-15 C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll (3.0 GPA-or-better).

2013 (Sophomore): Began the season at tight end, but moved back to the quarterback position…appeared in 10 games on special teams.

2012 (Redshirt Freshman): Moved to tight end during the spring after playing quarterback in high school…saw action in eight games, starting three…recorded starts at Louisiana (9/29), vs. Middle Tennessee (10/13) and at Troy (10/20)…had eight catches for 88 yards (11.0 avg.) with a long of 20 yards…caught three passes for 28 yards vs. Akron (9/8)…tied his season-best with three catches vs. Arkansas State (10/4) for 37 yards…his 20-yard reception came against the Red Wolves…also fielded three kick returns for 28 yards…had two kick returns for 16 yards in the Akron game and a 12-yard return in the Louisiana game.

2011 (Freshman): Redshirted the 2011 season…walked on to the football program…enrolled at FIU on an academic scholarship.

Redan: Three-time Georgia All-Region 2-5A Football Team selection...First-Team All-Region as a senior and junior, and Second-Team as a sophomore...region’s Most Outstanding Player as a senior...2010 Class 4A All-State Honorable Mention...DeKalb County Super 7 and First-Team All-County...three-year starter and team captain...played for Ronnie Fleetwood...participated at the ESPN EA Sports Elite 11 Quarterback Camp...named a Steve Clarkson QB Dream-Maker selection, CSA PrepStar Underclassmen All-American, CSA Top 100 Underclassmen Prospect...selected to the East Roster for the 2010 DeKalb County Coaches Association Senior All-Star Football Game…his career passing stats over 18 games were 2,165 yards, 19 touchdowns, eight interceptions, along with 152 receiving yards, 739 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns…set the single-game passing record for DeKalb County, 422 yards on 15-of-21 attempts with four touchdowns and no interceptions…rated three stars from Rivals...also excelled in basketball and baseball...in basketball, lettered all four years, was a two-year starter and senior team captain...All-DeKalb County All-Star selection and All-Region...on the baseball diamond, helped Redan to the 2010 Georgia Final Four...also a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter...hit more than 20 home runs in high school...
