2005 (Junior): Saw action in all 11 games with three game starts at the weak-side linebacker spot...one of the top tacklers on the team with 46 stops (24 solo), which ranked fifth best...showed a nose for the ball, forcing a fumble and recovering two others...had a stretch of three-straight eight tackle games...in a start at Louisiana-Monroe (11/5), had six solo stops, forced a fumble and broke up a pass during FIU’s first-ever I-A victory...recovered two fumbles and made six tackles (five unassisted) at Troy (10/20)...also had six stops (five solo) against Florida Atlantic (11/26) that included one tackle for a loss of minus-9 yards.
2004 (Sophomore): Participated in 10 games with seven starts...ranked fourth on the team with 70 tackles (34 solo) and had five stops that resulted in minus-14 yards...had five-or-more tackles in all by one outing...registered a career-high 11 tackles (nine unassisted) against Florida A&M (11/27) with two tackles for loss...recorded 10 tackles versus McNeese State (10/23)...picked up nine stops (six solo) in the season finale at Florida Atlantic (12/4) with one-and-a-half tackles for losses of minus-3 yards...broke up a pass and made eight stops against nationally-ranked Western Kentucky (11/20)...also had eight tackles vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (10/2)
2003 (Freshman): Cracked the starting lineup in the fourth game of the season as a true freshman and remained there for the remainder of the year...played in all 12 games with 43 tackles (22 solo) and a season-high seven stops against I-A Louisiana-Lafayette (11/8)...became the first FIU player ever to run back an interception for a touchdown with a 28-yard return against Holy Cross (10/25)...recorded one tackle for a loss of minus-3 yards vs. I-A Troy (10/18).
Norland High School: Another integral part of head coach Nigel Dunn’s 2002 6A state championship team...a third-team all-county performer who was named the team’s defensive lineman of the year...also competed in wrestling, track and bowling...an honor roll student.
