2019: Appeared in 12 of FIU’s 13 games, getting the starting nod at running back 10 times… Led the team with 867 yards on the ground, while finding the endzone nine times… Averaged 4.6 yards per carry and 72.25 yards per game on the ground… Was a contributor in the passing game as well, earning 123 yards receiving on 10 catches and two scores… Passed over the century mark four times in 2019, with three of those coming in consecutive outings… Jones is just the second Panther in program history to rush over 100 yards in three-straight games… His first 100-yard game came against UMass (10/5/19) with 115 on the ground, before rushing for 117 against Charlotte (10/12/19) and 102 versus UTEP (10/19/19)… Jones also gained 112 yards in FIU’s victory over Miami (11/23/19), including his 37-yard score that iced the game for the Panthers.
 
2018: Appeared in six games for the Panthers at running back, making four starts… Missed seven games after being shot, before making his return against FAU (11/3)… Scored two touchdowns against Indiana (9/1), earning the first two-score game in his career… Ran for 88 yards on 15 carries against the Hoosiers… His touchdown against IU marked the first score for Jones since a home game versus Marshall in November of 2016… Recorded 81 yards from scrimmage with two receiving touchdowns in a road win against Charlotte (11/17)… Was instrumental in FIU’s bowl victory against Toledo in the Bahamas Bowl (12/21)… Jones scored three rushing touchdowns in that game and finished with 92 yards on the ground… His 30-yard touchdown run in the third quarter helped FIU re-take the lead at 21-17… An 18-yard rushing touchdown by Jones in the fourth quarter helped FIU go up by 10 points with 41 seconds left in the game to seal the victory against Toledo… Was selected to the C-USA Honorable Mention Team following the season.

2018: Scored two touchdowns against Indiana, earning his first two-score game in his career… Ran for 88 yards on 15 carries against the Hoosiers… His touchdown against IU marked the first score for Jones since the Marshall in 2016.

2017: Did not play due to injury.

PREP CAREER: A four-year letterwinner at Miami Central under Head Coach Roland Smith...Was a 6A all-state first team member in 2014…Named First-Team All-Dade County…Named Offensive Player of the Year...Caught 32 passes for 419 yards and three touchdowns last season…Rushed for 1,007 yards and 23 touchdowns while averaging 7.5 yards-per-carry…An excellent return man, averaging over 32 yards-per-kick return. Jones also threw one pass and completed it for 18 yards…Helped the Rockets claim the 2014 6A state title…Finished that game with 199 yards on 29 carries and scored three touchdowns as Central (14-1) won its third-consecutive state title.

PERSONAL: Son of Anthony Jones, Sr., and Betty Cook… Has three siblings, James Cook, Dalvin Cook and Roosevelt Cook...Dalvin Cook played football at Florida State and currently plays in the NFL... Majoring in liberal studies at FIU...Aspires to play in the NFL.
