2008 (Redshirt Junior): Appeared in every contest, starting the first three...recorded nine tackles, one of them for a loss...had two tackles in the season opener at Kansas (8/30)... recorded one stop in each game at Iowa (9/6), vs. Middle Tennessee (10/11), at Troy (10/18), vs. Arkansas State (11/8), vs. ULM (11/22), at FAU (11/29) and in the season finale vs. WKU (12/6).

2007 (Redshirt Sophomore): Was hampered by nagging injuries throughout the season, but still played in the final nine games...finished the season with three tackles...made tackles at Middle Tennessee (9/29), at ULM (10/20) and at Arkansas (10/27)...also had a quarterback hurry against North Texas (12/1).

2006 (Redshirt Freshman): Untimely injuries limited his playing time to just three games off the bench...finished the year with one solo tackle that came against Louisiana-Monroe (11/11)...also earned playing time against Arkansas State (9/30) and at Miami (10/14).2005 (Freshman): Worked hard as a member of the scout team and did not compete on the field.

Miramar High School: Played three seasons of prep football for head coach Rodney Gray...a two-star recruit of Scout.com...all-county performer named by the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel...honorable mention all-state performer...twice named Miramar’s Defensive Player of the Year...named as a Top-50 Linebacker by swfab50recruiting.com...ranked No. 14 on the Herald’s Broward Sweet 16 team.

Personal: Born November 1, 1986...chose FIU over interest from Vanderbilt, Central Florida and South Florida...son of Artis and Tara Warthen...criminal justice major.
