2008 (Junior): Recorded six tackles, four of them unassisted and broke up a pass in the season opener at Kansas (8/30) before losing the rest of the season with an injury and receiving a redshirt.
2007 (Sophomore): Successfully made the move from receiver to safety and excelled in FIU’s defense, ranking sixth on the team in tackles despite missing a game due to an appendectomy...earned a reputation as one of FIU’s biggest hitters, totaling 56 tackles, two pass breakups, a sack, an interception and two forced fumbles on the way to being named All-Sun Belt Conference Honorable Mention at safety...started five of the last seven games he played...missed the Arkansas State (11/3) game due to an appendectomy...vs. North Texas (12/1): Made five tackles...vs. FAU (11/24): Had three tackles and recorded his first career interception...vs. UL (11/17): Returned from injury and came off the bench to make six tackles and break up one pass...at Arkansas (10/27): Recorded a career-high 12 tackles, including 11 solo tackles and two for a loss...knocked Razorback starting quarterback Casey Dick out of the game with a devastating hit for his first career sack and second forced fumble of the season...at ULM (10/20): Made 10 tackles and recorded his first career forced fumble...vs. Troy (10/6): Made seven tackles...at Middle Tennessee (9/29): Earned his first career start and responded with a career-high four solo tackles and five total tackles...at Kansas (9/22): Played, but did not record any tackles...at Miami (9/15): Made one solo tackle...vs. Maryland (9/8): Made four tackles...at Penn State (9/1): Registered three solo tackles and one pass breakup in his first career game at cornerback.
2006 (Freshman): An outstanding freshman talent who started all 12 games on the season and was named as an honorable mention All-Sun Belt Conference performer...caught 23 passes on the year with a career-high eight grabs for 71 yards coming at North Texas (10/7)...first collegiate catch went for 27 yards in the second game of the season at South Florida (9/9)...had three catches in games at Maryland (9/23) and against Louisiana-Monroe...had his longest catch of the year for 42 yards vs. ULM...recorded two grabs in games against South Florida, Bowling Green (9/16) and Louisiana-Lafayette (11/18)...assisted on a special teams tackle at North Texas...finished with 231 all-purpose yards that ranked among the top-10 on the team.
Port St. Joe High School: Played a major role during Port St. Joe’s Class 1-A state championship season...a first-team all-state performer who rushed for 874 yards and caught 20 passes for 329 yards on offense, while intercepting two passes and recovering a fumble on defense...scored two touchdowns for head coach John Palmer in the state championship game against Ft. Meade, going 41 yards after scooping up a fumble in the first quarter and running for another four-yard score...a three-time member of the All-Big Bend team who also played four years of prep basketball and three seasons of track and field...helped his 2005 Port St. Joe hoops team to the state’s Final Four while being named the team’s Offensive MVP.
