2019 (REDSHIRT SENIOR): Appeared in 12 games… Most action coming on special teams for the Panthers… Earned four total tackles on the year… Had a career-high three tackles vs. Old Dominion (11/2/19).
 
2018 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Appeared in eight games at defensive back…  Recorded one unassisted tackle against UTSA (11/9)…. Irving’s contributions in the secondary helped FIU reach fourth overall in Conference USA for passing defense, and sixth overall rank in pass defense efficiency… He provided depth for a defensive unit that recorded 17 total interceptions, which ranked second in Conference USA and 11th overall in the nation.

2017 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules.

2016 (SOPHOMORE): Redshirted. 

2015 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in six contests as a true freshman playing mostly on special teams. He finished the season with one total tackle earning a stop against Eastern Michigan.

PREP CAREER: Irving was ranked as a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com. Irving made 62 tackles, was credited with 3.5 sacks, had 9.0 tackles for a loss and forced one fumble on an outstanding Class 5A team in Florida -- American Heritage High in Plantation, Fla. American Heritage finished the 2014 season capturing the 5A State Championship, winning the state title game by a score of 38-0 over Godby. American Heritage outscored its opponents in its five State Playoff games by a total of 208 to 38, and Irving’s defense recorded two shutouts in the playoffs, including its shutout in the title game. Irving helped lead the Patriots to a 13-3 record. He played for head coach Mike Rumph.
