Biography

2005 (Junior): An all-around talented performer who came on as the team punter, kicking 43 times for a gross average of 36.2 yards per punt...punted five times at nationally-ranked Texas Tech (9/10) for an average of 43.6 yards per kick, which included one for 52 yards that tied for the fourth-longest punt in school history...punted a season-high seven times in the opener at Kansas State (9/3) for an average of 38.0 yards per kick...nine of his 43 punts on the year were downed inside the 20...forced to make a pair of tackles on the year, one each against KSU and Western Kentucky (11/19)...being looked at to take on the PAT and field goal duties after the graduation of four-year place kicker Adam Moss.

 

2004 (Sophomore): Played in only the season opener at Youngstown State (9/11) because of a shoulder injury...converted one-of-two PAT attempts versus the Penguins...also punted in the spring and was available for duty as an emergency quarterback.

 

2003 (Freshman): Saw action in 10 games as both a wide receiver and a kick returner...caught four passes, two of those coming against nationally-ranked Maine (9/13) for 29 yards...one pass from quarterback Josh Padrick, went for a 21-yard touchdown...returned two kickoffs, one against I-A Louisiana-Lafayette (11/8) and the other vs. nationally-ranked Florida Atlantic (11/22)...Dean’s List honoree in the fall of 2003 and spring 2004.

 

Western High School: A three-year varsity starter for head coach Jack Chapman... completed 54-of-71 passes for 552 yards and three touchdowns as a senior wing-T quarterback...also played defensive back, was the punter and kicker...converted 25 extra points and tied a Broward County record with 12 field goals in the regular season... his 13th field goal of the season came in the state playoffs against Norland?a 49 yarder that was the longest in school history...named second-team 6A all-state and was a second-team all-county punter who averaged 37 yards per punt...also played three years of basketball for the Wildcats from his freshman to junior years.

 

Personal: Born September 3, 1984...chose FIU over interest shown by Massachusetts, Dartmouth, South Florida and Davidson ...son of Gary and Linda Patullo...member of the FIU Dean’s List ...Management Information Systems major.
