Greg Moss is in his first season as secondaries coach after beginning the 2016 season as defensive backs coach on the FIU coaching staff. Moss served as a defensive quality control assistant for the Panthers from 2012-2014, primarily working with the defensive backs. Among his many duties, Moss prepared film breakdown, developed opponent receiver reports, assisted with the offensive scout team, game day passing charts and self-scouting reports.

Moss, who starred in FIU's defensive backfield from 2002-04, finished his professional football career in 2008. He played two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2007-08) and Ottawa Renegades (2005-06). He was a starter for Winnipeg's 2007 Grey Cup Championship team. With Ottawa, he was the team's Rookie of the Year and started all 18 regular season games.
Following his playing career, Moss got into coaching, first as an assistant coach for Nova High School in Davie (2008-11). He was an assistant defensive coach working with the defensive backs and special teams returners. He then moved over to Miramar High School where he was the Defensive Backs Coach.

As an FIU student-athlete, Moss was a Dean's List honoree and defensive team captain. In 2003, he was voted FIU Special Teams Player of the Year and earned NCAA I-AA Special Teams Player of the Week during September, 2003. He would go on to establish nearly all of the school's records for kickoff and punt returns.

Moss earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education/sports management in 2005 from FIU and received a master’s in sports administration in 2013 from St. Thomas.

Moss and his wife Shaun have two daughters, Sai and Taylor.
