Josh Beekman enters his third season as an offensive graduate assistant coach for the Panthers in 2015.
 
Beekman, a former Boston College All-American, was a four-year NFL lineman with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears. He also spent a season with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League.
 
Off the field, Beekman interned with the Miami Dolphins in June 2012, and earlier that year spent the offseason with Eastern Kentucky as an offensive line graduate assistant. From January to May 2011, Beekman was an intern strength coach at Boston College.
 
Beekman was a decorated offensive guard for Boston College from 2003-06. As a senior, he earned Associated Press First-Team All-America honors, BC’s first AP first-teamer since in 2001. He was also a second-team All-American from Walter Camp and Scout.com. Beekman was also the recipient of the 2006 Jacobs Blocking Trophy for the most valuable blocker in the Atlantic Coast Conference, where he was first-team All-Conference in 2006.
 
A senior team captain, Beekman started 37 straight games for the Eagles dating back to 2004 and was honored with the Scanlan Trophy, the highest honor bestowed on a Boston College football player.
 
Josh is the youngest of Valerie and Charles R. Beekman Sr.’s three children. He received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Boston College.
