Ronald Regula begins his first season in 2016 as an offensive graduate assistant coach with the FIU football program.

Regula, a Miami native who played scholastic football for and graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School, began his time at FIU handling offensive quality control in April of 2015. In that capacity, Regula assisted with the tight ends and special teams, and prepared scouting reports, personnel reports and ran the scout team defense.

After attending Mount Saint Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio, Regula returned to South Florida to attend the University of Miami, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports administration and a minor in business management in 2015. While at Miami, Regula was a two-year letterwinner for the Hurricanes on special teams and as a halfback, being awarded a scholarship during his senior season after walking on as a junior. He earned the “305 Walk-On Award” as the most improved walk-on player in 2014.

Immediately after graduation, Regula served as an offensive intern for Miami assisting the graduate assistant coaching staff as well as with special teams and halfback position drills.
