2003 (Sophomore): Moved to a defensive end but played only three games when he was sidelined with a broken right kneecap against nationally-ranked Bethune-Cookman (9/20)...a solid technician who plays the run well...finished with four tackles (three solo), two of those coming against nationally-ranked Maine (9/13).

2002 (Freshman): Played nine games on the season as the starting strong-side linebacker...picked up 31 tackles on the year (13 solo) with season highs of seven stops against Elon (9/7) and nationally-ranked Maine (10/19)...had six tackles in the season finale versus Florida Atlantic (11/23)...recovered a fumble against Elon and had one tackle for a loss in the win over Jacksonville (10/31).

Owen J. Roberts High School: Named the Pioneer Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year following his senior campaign...an all-county selection who was voted as the league’s MVP...all-conference selection for three consecutive seasons...had 89 tackles with eight sacks and six interceptions, five of which he ran back for touchdowns for head coach Tom Barr...also caught 21 passes with six touchdowns on offense...competed in track and field, throwing the javelin and shot put and running the 100-meter dash and 4x100 relays.

Personal: Born November 5, 1982...chose FIU over interest shown by Colgate, Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg...son of Earl and Debra Ireson...nephew of FIU head coach Don Strock...Criminal Justice major.
