FIU -- 2002 Redshirt: Sat out last year after undergoing shoulder surgery...bulked up to 272 pounds and will try to make a position switch to offensive tackle but injuries in the spring delayed the experiment.

Seminole High School: Blocking tight end used in the winged-T formation and an effective weapon in play-action situations...second-team all-district and all-conference as a senior...selected to play in the Pinellas County all-star game...coached by Sam Roper...was a varsity wrestler and a Beef-O-Brady Athlete of the Week in 1999...helped the Warhawks to a pair of district wrestling and football championships...member of the Varsity Letterman’s Club as a junior and senior...also competed with the track team for one season.
