Biography

2009 (Junior): Appeared in all 12 games, starting seven of them… second on the  team with 34 receptions, 528 receiving yards and four receiving touchdown and 44 yards per game… led the team in yards per reception with 15.5… caught five passes for 92 yards and one touchdown in the season opener at Alabama (9/12)… his score against the Crimson Tide gave FIU the lead in the second quarter… combined for three catches and 16 yards against Rutgers (9/19) and Toledo (9/26)… had a season-high six catches for 66 yards and a score against ULM (10/3)… had his best performance of the year against Western Kentucky (10/10) with five catches for 132 yards and one score… against the Hilltoppers, was on the receiving end of FIU’s longest offensive play of the year, a 65-yard reception… had four catches for 58 yards against Troy (10/17)… caught two passes for 19 yards, including the game-tying score that sent the game into overtime against Louisiana (10/31)…caught two passes against Middle Tennessee (11/7) and two against North Texas (11/14)…made three grabs for 49 yards against Florida Atlantic (12/5).

2008 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 12 contests, starting the final 10 games of the season...second on the team in receptions (35), receiving yards (574), yards per catch (16.4), receiving yards per game (47.8) and receiving touchdowns (3)...made his first catch of the season in the team’s opener at Kansas (8/30), hauling in a five yard pass... caught three passes for 21 yards vs. USF (9/20)...brought in a 27-yard pass at Toledo (9/27)...recorded his first touchdown of the season on a 28-yard pass at North Texas (10/4)...vs. Middle Tennessee had three grabs for 38 yards... had a breakout game at Troy (10/18), catching six passes for a then-career-high 75 yards... caught two passes for 57 yards vs. Arkansas State (11/8)...set a new career-high with 81 receiving yards vs. ULM (11/22)...caught five passes, including an acrobatic touchdown grab against the Warhawks... had one of the best receiving performances ever by a Golden Panther with seven receptions for 138 yards and a score in the Shula Bowl against FAU (11/29)...closed out the season with another strong performance, catching six passes for 104 yards vs. WKU (12/6).

2007 (Freshman): One of seven Golden Panthers to start all 12 games and joined center Brad Serini as the only freshmen to start all 12 games...led the team with 304 yards receiving and ranked second on the team with 19 receptions...averaged 16.0 yards per catch with two touchdown passes and returned five punts for 48 yards (9.6)...vs. North Texas (12/1): Returned one punt for nine yards, but did not have any receptions for the first time in seven games...vs. FAU (11/24): Caught four passes for 43 yards...vs. UL (11/17): Hauled in two passes for 47 yards, including a 41-yarder...at Arkansas State (11/3): Caught a game-tying 29-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter and finished the game with two catches for 35 yards...at Arkansas (10/27): Recorded his first career touchdown, a 33-yard grab in the second quarter...finished the game with 39 yards on two receptions...forced to make a tackle on an interception in the second quarter...at ULM (10/20): Caught two passes for 29 yards...vs. Troy (10/6): Made a leaping grab for a career-long 49-yard reception...returned three punts for 20 yards...at Middle Tennessee (9/29): Played but did not have any receptions...at Kansas (9/22): Tied a career high with three receptions for 29 yards...returned the first punt of his career for 19 yards...at Miami (9/15): Did not have any receptions for the second-straight game...forced to make a tackle on an interception in the second quarter...vs. Maryland (9/8): Played, but did not have any receptions...at Penn State (9/1): Made his collegiate debut and hauled in three passes for 31 yards.

Robinson High School: An all-around football player who earned third-team all-state honors at wide receiver by the Florida Sports Writers Association...also played safety and punter and placekicker...played at tight end as a prep junior where he proved to be a capable blocker...first-team All-Hillsborough selection of the Tampa Tribune...finished 2006 with 1,009 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns and 10 PATs...selected to compete in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South Football All-Star Classic...possesses good speed and excelled in track (100m, 400m, long jump, high jump) and soccer.
