2003 (Redshirt Junior): Played in all 12 games, starting four, with 37 tackles (27 solo)...named the Golden Panthers' Special Teams Player of the Year with nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards, running back kickoffs and punts...a big-play specialist who ranked 16th nationally, averaging 26.71 yards per kick-off return and 17th, averaging 12.63 yards per punt return...became the first FIU player ever to run back a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown in the same game...ran back a kick 99 yards for a score and took a punt for an 86-yard TD against Carson-Newman (9/27)...for that effort, named NCAA I-AA Special Team Tri-Player of the Week by Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette and was an Independent Player of the Week...with an average of 81.33 all-purpose yards per game, ranked sixth best among all I-AA Independent players...voted third-team All-Independent kick-off return specialist...nickel back who showed continued improvement...picked up a season-high eight stops (all solo) in the win over Holy Cross (10/25)...intercepted two passes, one for 32 yards, against Stephen F. 2002 (Redshirt Sophomore): Defensive co-captain who ended the year with 44 tackles (24 solo), including a season-high 12 stops (five unassisted) against Gardner-Webb (10/26)...had eight tackles (four solo) and picked off his lone interception of the season at Elon (9/7)...six of his tackles resulted in losses amounting to minus-23 yards...returned six points over the last two games of the year, including three vs. Albany (11/9) for 61 total yards...ran back two kickoffs against Florida Atlantic (11/23) for 59 yards with a long return of 35 yards.
2000 (Virginia Union College): Played in nine games as a freshman with 25 tackles (19 solo), two of those resulting in a loss...made three interceptions for the Panthers, broke up seven others passes and recovered a fumble...following the year, named to the CIAA all-rookie team.
Norland High School: A three-sport participant...played basketball and track in addition to football...a Miami-Dade all-star and recipient of the Coach's Award as a senior...made 50 tackles that season with five interceptions, one fumble recovery and two TDs for head coach Curt Wiles.
