2023: Saw action in three games as a reserve at quarterback…completed 7-of-12 passes for 120 yards…threw for 60 yards while completing all three passes at New Mexico State (10/4)…recorded 56 yards while completing 3-of-6 attempts vs. UTEP (10/11).

2022: Logged a total of eight appearances and one start…completed 47-of-88 pass attempts for 554 yards and four touchdowns…rushed for 34 yards on 19 attempts…made his first career start vs Middle Tennessee (11/26) throwing for a career-high of 414 passing yards on 29 completed passes and matched the FIU single-game record with four touchdown passes…threw for 55 yards on 5-for-9 passing in action at Texas State (9/10)…saw action at Western Kentucky (9/17) with six completed passes…completed two passes vs FAU (11/12)…saw limited action at Charlotte (10/22) and at UTEP (11/19).

2021: Did not see any game action.

2020: Did not see any action in his first season at FIU.

PREP CAREER:  Rated as a three-star prospect by 247sports… Carlson was a four-year player at Steinbrenner HS… Had an athletic background growing up as he played soccer... Threw for over 2,500 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior… Led Steinbrenner HS to a 12-2 record in 2019 and a trip to the state semifinals.

PERSONAL: Native of Lutz, Florida...  Son of Jeff Carlson, who played quarterback in the NFL in the early 90s with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
