Biography

2009 (Junior): Played in all 12 contests, starting 10 of them…finished the year ranked 19th nationally in punt returns with an average of 12.20 yards per return… returned 20 punts for 244 yards…caught 30 passes for 368 yards and a pair of scores… opened the year with two catches for 22 yards against Alabama (9/12)… had a career-best seven catches against Rutgers (9/19) for 26 yards… caught two balls for 24 yards against Toledo (9/26)… had one reception for 22 yards against ULM (10/3)… had three catches for 66 yards and a score against WKU (10/10… also had five punt returns for 57 yards against the Hilltoppers… caught four passes for 28 yards and one TD against Troy (10/17) while returning three punts for 72 yards…hauled in three passes for 48 yards against Arkansas State (10/24)….caught two passes for 19 yards against Louisiana (10/31)… had three receptions for 73 yards, including a season-best 47-yard reception against Middle Tennessee (11/7)… finished the year with three catches for 40 yards against Florida Atlantic (12/6).

2008 (Sophomore): Appeared in six games, starting the last two games of the season... caught 10 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns...carried the ball twice for 15 yards... caught two passes for six yards vs. USF (9/20)...hauled in a three-yard pass at Louisiana (11/1)...caught one pass for 27 yards vs. ULM (11/22)...had his best game if the season in the Shula Bowl against FAU (11/29) as he caught four balls for 62 yards, including a season long reception of 28 yards and his first touchdown as a Golden Panther...had a three-yard touchdown reception in the season finale vs. WKU (12/6).

2007 (Freshman): Played in 11 games and led the team with 21 receptions for 190 yards (9.0 avg.)...had a reception in 10 of the 11 games he played...vs. North Texas (12/1): Played but did not have any receptions...vs. FAU (11/24): Caught a career-high five passes for 45 yards...vs. UL (11/17): Caught one pass for zero yards...at Arkansas State (11/3): Made one reception for seven yards...at ULM (10/20): Had one reception for four yards...vs. Troy (10/6): Caught four passes for a career-high 64 yards and a season-long grab of 37 yards...at Middle Tennessee (9/29): Had one reception for minus-three yards...at Kansas (9/22): Had four catches for 42 yards...at Miami (9/15)...Made two receptions for 12 yards...vs. Maryland (9/8): Caught one pass for zero yards...at Penn State (9/1): Made his collegiate debut and caught one pass for 11 yards.

High School: Caught 41 passes for 699 yards and eight touchdowns to lead the Cavaliers to their first district title in 17 years...scored four TDs during a 45-22 win over Miami Beach HS-two rushing and one on a 17-yard catch and another on a 60-yard punt return...second-team all-state selection of the Florida Sports Writers Association...first-team all-county performer who was included among the Miami Herald’s Top-25 Miami-Dade recruits...a three-year starter who played quarterback, wide receiver, running back, cornerback, safety and as a return man on special teams...totaled 108 career catches for 1,721 yards and 19 touchdowns...selected to compete in the 10th Annual South Florida All-Star Football game...played on the Team USA roster for the NFL Global Junior Championships where he made the all-tournament team and scored a touchdown during the title game against Team Canada...also a four-year starter in basketball who finished third in Dade County in assists.

Personal: Born January 7, 1989...son of Michelle Cooper...has two older siblings, Jeremy and Jermeria, and three younger siblings, Shaquille, Shakura and Gilbert...cousin of San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl running back Frank Gore.
