2008 (Junior): Walked on during 2008 spring practice...Transferred to FIU from Division II Tusculum...Appeared in one game before an injury ended his season.

Cottondale High School: Earned two high school varsity letters in football while also competing in prep basketball and track...an all-conference selection who helped Cottondale to a pair of conference championships for head coach Mike Melvin...collected 47 high school pass receptions for 1,528 yards and eight touchdows.

Personal: Born June 23, 1986...Son of Jodie Basemore, Sr. and Joyce Al-Mateen...sports management major.
