2008 (Redshirt Junior): Played in all 12 contests, starting four at full back...One of the most physical players on the team...served primarily as a blocking back and a special teams player...caught one pass for four yards in the Shula Bowl against FAU (11/29)...registered 10 tackles on the season, including four at Iowa (9/6)...had two tackles vs. ULM (9/22)...had one tackle in games at North Texas (10/4), at Troy (10/18), at FAU and vs. WKU (12/6)... recorded two tackles vs. ULM (11/22).
2007 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in all 12 games, starting seven, including the first six games of the season...caught 11 passes for 40 yards (3.6 avg.) and a touchdown...rushed three times for a yard...vs. North Texas (12/1) and FAU (11/24): Played but did not have any receptions or carries...vs. UL (11/17): Had one reception for a four-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter...at Arkansas State (11/3): Played but did not have any receptions or carries...forced to make tackles on turnovers against Maryland (9/8) and at Arkansas (10/27)...at Arkansas (10/27): Hauled in two passes for a total of two yards...at ULM (10/20): Caught one pass for 11 yards...vs. Troy (10/6): Made one reception for three yards...at Middle Tennessee (9/29): Caught one pass for 11 yards...at Kansas (9/22): Made a season-high three receptions for minus-four yards...at Miami (9/15): Carried the ball once for a yard...also had a 7-yard reception...vs. Maryland (9/8): Caught one pass for six yards...at Penn State (9/1): Carried the ball twice for no yards and fumbled on his second carry of the game.
2006 (Redshirt Freshman): Emerged as FIU’s starting fullback with seven starts in 11 games...used mostly as a blocking back...rushed for 42 yards on eight carries over the season with a long run of 13 yards versus Bowling Green (9/16)...averaged 5.2 yards per carry...also caught four passes on the year, two each against North Texas (10/7) and Louisiana-Lafayette (11/18)...grabbed a one-yard TD pass from quarterback Josh Padrick vs. UL...as an up-man on the kickoff team, recorded a pair of returns against Middle Tennessee (8/31) and North Texas...made six tackles on special teams, three of those at Maryland (9/23).
2005 (Freshman): Member of the scout team who saw no game action.
Pensacola High School: A multi-purpose player for Tigers head coach Mike Bennett, who reached the Class 4A state semifinals...rushed for 168 yards and five touchdowns, caught 19 passes for another 264 yards as a running back and had 37 tackles as a defensive lineman...honorable mention all-area recipient as a junior and senior...four-year weightlifter who was the 219-pound class district champion in 2003-04...also competed two years with the track and field team.
