2006 (Freshman): Valuable offensive weapon as a true freshman...appeared in all 12 games as a receiver and in punt and kick return situations...made 11 catches for 111 yards with a career long 22-yard reception from Paul McCall at Florida Atlantic (11/25)...grabbed his first intercollegiate catch for nine yards in the season opener at Middle Tennessee (8/31)...had five catches for 45 yards against Louisiana-Monroe (11/11)...ran back four kickoffs and two punts on the year with longs of 20 and 12 yards respectively against ULM...finished among the top-10 on the team with 15.1 all-purpose yards per game.

Led the area in receiving with 49 catches for 827 yards and 11 touchdowns...2005 Class 5A all-state and All-Northwest Florida receiver for head coach John Hicks...member of the Panhandle all-star team...second-team all-state as a junior, first-team All-Northwest Florida and Big Play Award winner in 2004...also participated in prep wrestling, track and baseball...selected to play at FIU over interest from Auburn, Virginia and Boston College...son of Paul and Lynn Whiddon.
