2003 (Freshman): Was an impact player who emerged as the starter at right guard as a true freshman...played in eight games, and started seven, before a season-ending injury against I-A Louisiana-Lafayette (11/8)...involved on 362 snaps with only one penalty called against him and a team-leading seven pancakes...excellent run blocker.

Fernandina Beach High School: A four-year offensive lineman for head coach Robert Howard and team MVP as a senior...four-time state weightlifter.

Personal: Born September 7, 1984...son of Robert and Mary Taylor...a Florida Bright Futures Scholar who chose FIU over interest shown by UCF, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic and Florida A&M...Criminal Justice major.
