2016 (Junior): Appeared in all 12 games for the Panthers at both linebacker and on special teams…Recorded eight total tackles (four solo) on the year…Made season debut versus Indiana (9/1).

2015 (Sophomore): Appeared in 10 games for the Panthers...Finished the year with 11 total tackles (eight solo) and one quarterback hurry...Made season debut with one tackle at UCF (9/3).

2014 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in 12 games for the Panthers, starting in six...Registered 35 total tackles (22 solo)...Had 2.0 tackles for loss, including a 1.0 sacks...Also forced one fumble and recovered another as FIU finished the year ranked No. 2 in the nation in fumble recoveries...Made three solo tackles and forced a fumble at Old Dominion (11/8)...Tied a season-high five tackles (four solo) versus Marshall (10/18)...Had five tackles, including one for a loss (three yards) at UTSA (10/11)...Notched four solo tackles at UAB (9/27)...Recorded five tackles versus Louisville (9/20)...Recovered a fumble and had three tackles versus Pittsburgh (9/13)...Made FIU debut, notching two tackles, including first-career sack versus Bethune-Cookman (8/30).

2013 (Freshman): Redshirted the 2013 season.

Miami Christopher Columbus: Team advanced to the FHSAA Class 8A State Semifinals in 2012…committed on Aug. 8, 2012…ran track for Columbus, competing in the 200 meters, 110 and 300-meter hurdles, high jump and triple jump…won the District 14 title in the triple jump and qualified for the FHSAA Class 4A state tournament...transferred to Columbus for his senior season from Florida Christian.

Personal: Parents - Rodell Guest and Leslie Portis...siblings - Katen and Tatiana...born Aug. 17, 1995...Majoring in international studies...began playing football at age eight...played youth football with the Kendall Hammocks Warriors and Kendall Boys and Girls Club of the Miami Xtreme Youth Football League...father, Rodell, attended the University of Colorado, where he was a two-sport star...was an outside linebacker on the football team (1990-91) and forward for the basketball team (1987-91)...he then played professional basketball in Spain.
