2014 (Junior): Appeared in 10 games for the Panthers...Recorded 59 punts for 2,400 yards, good for a 40.7 yards-per-punt average...Five of his punts resulted in a fair catch...Had six punts of 50 yards-or-more with eight punts placed inside the 20-yard line...Also recorded two kickoffs for 81 yards (40.5 yards-per-kick)...Ranked No. 6 in both punts (59) and punt yards (2,400) in school history for a season...The 40.7 yards-per-punt average ranks No. 5 all-time at FIU in a season...Ranked No. 9 in the conference in punt yard average...Had seven punts for 294 yards, including a long of 47 yards at North Texas (11/22)...Punted five times for 227 yards (45.4 yards-per-punt), including a career-long 59-yarder versus Middle Tennessee (Nov. 15)...Averaged 44.3 yards-per-punt at UTSA (10/11) booting six punts for 266 yards, including a then-career-long of 55 yards...Registered five punts for 214 yards (42.8 yards-per-punt) versus Florida Atlantic (10/2)...Tied a career-high in punts (10) at UAB (9/27)...Notched a career-high 10 punts (second-most in a single game at FIU) for 403 yards (fifth-most in a single game at FIU) versus Louisville (9/20)...Made FIU debut versus Pittsburgh (9/13)...Named to the 2014-15 C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll (3.0 GPA-or-better).

Immaculata La Salle /FIU: Will be playing football for the first time in his life…has been a rugby player since the age of eight, serving as a kicker in all three disciplines (kickoff, clearance, kick for points)…played on the FIU rugby club team prior to joining the football team…FIU club team earned a 2013 second place finish in the SIRC (South Independent Rugby Conference).

Personal: Parents – Santiago Laphitzondo and Juana Gomez Olivera…siblings – Agustin, Santiago, and Marcos…has also served as a rugby assistant coach for the Key Biscayne Rugby Ratz…enjoys learning about companies and the stock market…is majoring in finance and international business at FIU, with a minor in hospitality management.
