FIU -- 2002 (Freshman): Very strong defensive tackle who saw regular action last season...started the first two games of the year before moving into a reserve role...played in all 11 games...recorded 25 tackles (nine solo)...recorded five tackles for loss and had one sack...picked up five tackles (two solo) vs. Saint Peter’s (8/29) and made four stops against nationally-ranked Maine (10/19), two of which resulted in losses...combined for a quarterback sack against Butler (9/14)...had at least one tackle in every game of the year.

St. Joseph’s Academy: Highly decorated...tabbed a first-team Blue Chip All-American and an honorable mention selection to the USA Today All-America team...Associated Press Class 1A third-team all-state...All-St. John’s County selection...one of only four players from Florida selected to play in the 2000 National High School Football Game in Dallas, Tex., which featured 70 of the top prep players in the country...Florida’s all-time high school sack leader with more than 50 over his high school career...recorded 101 tackles (57 solo) with 19 sacks and three blocked punts as a senior in 2000...also played scholastic baseball, was the senior class president and a Bright Futures Scholar...coached in football by Val Gunn.
