His 23 total tackles ranked as the sixth-most on the team and second among linebackers... The 23 tackles were a new career high in a season for the linebacker... Best performance came against Jacksonville State (10/23) after earning a career-high nine tackles with six being solos against the Gamecocks... Switched jersey number from No. 48 to No. 11 in the offseason. 

2019: Played in all 13 games for the Panthers on defense... Earned 18 total tackles on the season, with 13 being solos... Logged a career-high five tackles against WKU (9/7). 

2018: Appeared in 13 games at linebacker, making one start against Miami (9/22)… Powell contributed 10 tackles during the season, including five solo tackles, five assisted, and one tackle for loss. 

2017: Appeared in nine games as a linebacker for the Panthers... Earned his first appearance against Rice (9/23)... Recorded two total tackles in his freshman season.

PREP CAREER: Racked up impressive stats for the Suncoast HS during the 2016 season... On offense, he rushed for 813 yards and nine touchdowns, while reeling in two touchdown catches and 315 receiving yards... On defense, Powell excelled at linebacker making 113 tackles, forcing four fumbles and intercepting three passes... He was a second-team All-Area pick by the Palm Beach Post.
