FIU Athletics

2002 (Freshman): Very athletic starting corner back with great speed...runs the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds...started all 11 games and finished among the top-10 tacklers on the team with 41 stops (24 solo)...six of those tackles went for losses amounting to 23 yards...posted his season-high nine stops (four solo) at Elon (9/7) and had seven tackles (three unassisted) vs. Albany (11/9)...had two interceptions on the season, including one that was run back for 31 yards against national champion Western Kentucky (10/12)...the other was run back 41 yards against Jacksonville (10/31)...broke up 10 other pass attempts.

American Heritage School: A two-time all-state performer who had 21 interceptions over his scholastic career...had two kick returns that went for touchdowns and four offensive scores...named to the all-county team three times...played basketball for the Patriots and also ran the 400-meter dash, 4x400m relay and was a high jumper...coached in football by Byron Walker.

Personal: Born October 19, 1982...nicknamed “Super Man”...chose FIU over interest shown by Marshall, FAU, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State...son of Lynn Ana Darrah...Sports Management major.
