Biography

FIU -- 2002 Freshman: Played and started 10 games at defensive end...a great athlete who figures to be in the mix for plenty more playing time...finished the year with 26 total tackles (14 solo) with a season-high six stops (five unassisted) vs. Butler (9/14)...also had three tackles for losses and a pair of sacks in that game against the Bulldogs...recorded five tackles in contests against Elon (9/7) and Albany (11/9)...nine of his 26 stops resulted in losses amounting to 44 yards.

 

Northwestern High School: Competed in football and baseball...recorded 93 tackles with 13 sacks as a senior, after which he was named the Bulls’ Best Defensive Lineman...helped Northwestern to the 1998 state football championship...threw the shot put and discus in track...winner of an academic science award...coached in football by Billy Rolle.

 

Personal: Born May 27, 1983...chose FIU over interest shown by Florida, North Carolina State, Rutgers, Missouri, Boston College and Kentucky State...son of David and Kathy Williams...older brother David is a tight end playing at the University of Miami...Computer Engineering major.
