Biography

2008 (Redshirt Junior): Caught two passes for 16 yards...both receptions came against FAU (11/29).2007 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in eight games as a reserve and on special teams...caught two passes for 27 yards against FAU (11/24), including his first career touchdown on a 15-yard pass from Paul McCall in the fourth quarter.

2006 (Redshirt Freshman): Redshirted...did not compete.

2005 (Freshman): Played in three games on the year with two catches, good for 25 yards, against Arkansas State (9/24).

Northeast High School: Played four seasons of prep football for head coach Adam Ratkevich...named to the All-Broward County teams of the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel...all-district performer who was a MiamiDolphins.com Player of the Week...ranked second in the county with 34 receptions in 2004 for 428 yards and scored two touchdowns in a predominantly rushing offense...twice given the Northeast Punisher Award as a senior...also ran three years of track.

Personal: Born January 26, 1987...chose FIU over interest by Florida Atlantic and Bowling Green...son of Edward and Lisa Thompson...hospitality management major.
