2007 (Junior): Started five of the 12 games he played in and ranked seventh on the team with 53 tackles...made 37 solo tackles and had four tackles for loss, totaling 21 yards...also recorded two sacks for a combined loss of 17 yards.

Nassau CC: Highly-regarded junior college and high school performer...as a redshirt freshman, recorded 60 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles in 2005, helping Nassau to a 9-2 record and conference championship...named honorable mention all-conference.

Teaneck High School: High school team captain and MVP in 2003 for head coach Dennis Heck...second-team all-state, all-conference and All-North New Jersey honoree after collecting 82 tackles, 16 sacks and six forced fumbles as a senior...named MVP of the Bergen All-Star Game...made 95 tackles and a school-record 18 sacks as a prep junior.

Personal: Born August 15, 1986...son of Geoffery and Sharon Martinez...has a younger sister, Alexandria, and a brother, Randy, who plays football at the University of Cincinnati this fall on a football scholarship...sports management major.
