Biography

2004 (Junior): Came on to become the starting left end the entire season, finishing second among the linemen with 29 tackles (eight solo)...good strength and quickness...had a pair of sacks, both coming at New Mexico State (10/30), ranking tied for fourth on the squad in that category...also had a career-high 10 stops versus the Aggies with one-and-a-half tackles that results in minus-6 yards of losses...picked up seven tackles against nationally-ranked Georgia Southern (11/13)...three of his four tackles were unassisted against Western Kentucky (11/20).

2003 (Sophomore): Saw action in nine games, all coming off the bench...played some defensive end as well as linebacker...had at least one tackle in eight of those...finished the year with 18 stops (six solo), with six coming against nationally-ranked Georgia Southern (10/4)...picked up four tackles at I-A Troy (10/18)...involved in one pass breakup versus nationally-ranked Florida Atlantic (11/22).

2002 (Freshman): Played as a middle linebacker and was a big help on special teams...recorded 36 tackles (22 solo) over the 10 games he played with at least two stops in every contest...seemed to rise to the occasion with eight tackles against nationally-ranked Bethune-Cookman (9/21) and six tackles, including one for a loss, vs. No. 8 Maine (10/19)...posted four stops in the inaugural game against Saint Peter’s (8/29) and another four versus national champion Western Kentucky (10/12)...forced a fumble on a punt in the victory over Georgetown (9/28) that ultimately led to FIU’s first touchdown.

Palmetto High School: Three-year starter who was a third-team all-county selection of the Miami Herald...had 54 tackles (40 solo) with three that caused fumbles and a fumble recovery...led the Panthers’ defense with eight quarterback sacks and had five tackles that resulted in losses behind the line of scrimmage...helped the Palmetto team win a district championship for head coach Jim Kroll...named as the team’s Defensive MVP and won the Weightlifting Award...also competed in high school track and field.

Personal: Born September 1, 1982...chose FIU over interest shown by Southern Illinois, Massachusetts and Youngstown State...son of Barrington Dudney and Ingrid Love...Criminal Justice major.
