FIU -- 2002 Freshman: Special teams player who coaches believe can step up and challenge for time at cornerback...played five games in 2002 and recovered a fumble on a kickoff during the Golden Panthers 42-0 victory over Butler (9/14).

Fork Union Academy: Played four years of football and well as four seasons of indoor and outdoor track and field...helped the Blue Devils to a pair of state football titles in 1998 and ’99...voted first-team all-state, all-league and third-team All-Central Virginia...as a senior, made 46 tackles with three interceptions, six breakups and a fumble recovery...also worked as a running back, carrying the ball 24 times for 207 yards...twice included in Who’s Who in High School Sports (1998-99)...an honor roll student who graduated with an advanced diploma...two-year member of his high school’s band and chorus...coached by Mickey Sullivan.

Personal: Born October 10, 1982...chose FIU over interest shown by St. Francis, South Florida, Elon, West Virginia Wesleyan and Appalachian State...son of Theo Bell and Kathy Donnelly...father Theo played as a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1975-85...Industrial Engineering major.
