Biography

2004 (Junior): Starting right tackle who continues to get bigger, stronger and better with technique... helped FIU to a No. 42 ranking in total offense (382.78 ypg) and 54th in scoring (27.89)...line allowed only nine sacks of the quarterback...graded out at 80-85-percent all season...instrumental in running back Rashod Smith becoming the first 1,000-yard rusher in school history.

2003 (Sophomore): Played in seven games, with five starts, filling in at the tackle and guard positions...ranked third among linemen seeing action on 601 snaps...Dean’s List honoree in the fall of 2003.

2002 (Freshman): A pleasant surprise as a true freshman who came on and started the last seven games of the season at right tackle.

Clewiston High School: Played primarily as a defensive end for head coach Al Morrell...won the Best Blocker award for three seasons...winner of Senior Awards in football, basketball and track and was a four-year letterwinner in each...member of the National Honor Society and the Future Business Leaders of America...participated in Junior Achievement, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Boy Scouts of America.

Personal: Born May 2, 1984...also recruited by Louisville, Rutgers, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and North Carolina State...son of Ronald and Beverly Dierks...Computer Science major.
