Biography

2008 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in four games before a leg injury ended his season. Did not accumulate any stats.

2007 (Redshirt Freshman): Showing his versatility out of the backfield and on special teams...played in all 12 games, starting one...set school records for receiving yards in a game by a running back with 84 against North Texas (12/1) and on the season with 12 receptions for 261 yards (21.8 avg.)...ranked second on the team in receiving yards...led the team with 10 tackles on kickoff coverage...totaled 12 tackles on the year with a forced fumble...vs. North Texas (12/1): Earned his first career start and responded with a school record for a running back with 84 yards receiving on two receptions...hauled in a 58-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter...also tied a season high with two solo tackles...vs. FAU (11/24): Caught one pass for 24 yards and assisted on two tackles...vs. UL (11/17): Made one reception for two yards...at Arkansas State (11/3): Recorded two solo tackles and caught one pass for 20 yards...at Arkansas (10/27): Forced Arkansas’ Darren McFadden to fumble on kickoff coverage in the second quarter, resulting in a turnover at the 34-yard line...at ULM (10/20): Made a career-high three tackles...hauled in one pass for 13 yards...vs. Troy (10/6): Caught one pass for nine yards...at Middle Tennessee (9/29): Made one reception for minus-three yards...at Kansas (9/22): Had one solo tackles and two catches for 37 yards...at Miami (9/15): Had the longest reception ever by a FIU running back, pulling in a 65-yard touchdown pass from Wayne Younger in the fourth quarter...vs. Maryland (9/8): Played but did not have any receptions...at Penn State (9/1): Caught one pass for 10 yards in his collegiate debut.

2006 (Freshman): Practiced with the scout team, gaining experience in the offensive backfield...saw no game action on the season.

Monsignor Pace High School: A two-way player for head coach Joe Zaccheo who earned third-team all-state honors as a junior utility player and honorable mention accolades as a senior linebacker...worked out as a fullback at the 2005 Miami Nike Training Camp and registered the top shuttle speed (4.31), was second in bench press (23) and third in vertical leap (26) at his position...ranked among Florida’s Top 275 for the Class of 2006.
