Prior to FIU: Played as a freshman and sophomore at Coral Springs Christian … Played his junior season at Northeast High … Hit .353 as a freshman … Was the state batting champion as a sophomore with a .574 average, earning South Florida Sun Sentinel Player of the Year honors for classes 3A-7A … He followed that up with a .534 average as a junior, winning another state batting title … Was a three-time Sun-Sentinel All-County selection … Played on a number of high-level travel teams, including the Northeast NEB Baseball National Team out of Massachusetts, playing for the Worldwide Baseball Association 17U national championship … Also played in the WWBA Memorial Classic and the Perfect Game World Series where he was an All-Tournament pick … During his senior year he played at the ELEV8 Baseball Academy in Delray Beach until the season was canceled 10 games in … Was ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the state of Florida by Perfect Game … Was a 4.0 student.
