Biography

2019 (REDSHIRT SENIOR): Appeared in 18 games for FIU with 16 starts and led the team with 15 points... Helped propel a high-octane Panther offense that finished the season ranked as one of the nation’s top-10 in points, goals, and assists… Booth finished the year top-10 overall in Conference USA in shot-attempts (35), points (15), goals (5), and assists (5)… Was named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week after a five-point output in the season’s opening weekend in which FIU downed No. 17 James Madison (3-1) and St. Bonaventure (5-1)… Also garnered College Soccer News National Team of the Week honors for the performance in the opening weekend… Led FIU in shots-on-goal (15), ranked second on the squad in goals and shot attempts, and finished with the third-most assists... Logged 90-or-more minutes in 11 games and finished with the third-most total minutes (1,492) on the team... Booth was named Conference USA Midfielder of the Year following the season’s conclusion, and also earned a spot on the All-CUSA First Team... Earned a selection to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Southeast Region First Team… Went on to become the twelfth Panther ever selected in the Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft after going No. 96 overall in the fourth round to Minnesota United FC… In addition to success on the field Booth maintained excellent standing in the classroom, boasting a 3.48 GPA and earning a spot on the 2019 USC Scholar All-America First Team.

2018 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Appeared in 17 games, starting in 16… Booth finished first on the team in total assists (4), while finishing third in total points (8), goals (2), shots (23), and shots-on-goal (9)… He had a game-high five points in a 5-3 victory on the road against UNF (9/23), including one goal and a game-high three assists… Booth’s three assists in that game were the most by any FIU player in a single game during the 2018 season… He earned C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in the UNF game… Booth scored an equalizing goal at New Mexico (9/29) with a header off a corner kick in the forty-seventh minute… He helped the Panthers score an equalizing goal with an assist in the thirty-fifth minute of a road game against Marshall (9/7)… Booth played the second-most minutes on the team in 2018, logging a total of 1,477… He eclipsed 90-or-more minutes in 12 games during the season… Booth was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team.

2017 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 15 games, with seven starts… An anchor on the back line, Booth assisted the Panthers in four of their five shutouts on the year, including against No. 24 New Mexico (10/21) and against Omaha (11/16) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament… He assisted the Panthers in a program-first undefeated regular season, and an eight-match winning-streak… He totaled over 675 minutes on the year.

2016 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Appeared in 15 games, making six starts … An anchor in the back line, Booth assisted the Panthers in all six of their shutouts on the year against Wisconsin during a 1-0 win (9/2); scoreless draws against Niagara (9/4) and South Carolina (10/10); a 1-0 win over Florida Atlantic (10/21); a 2-0 win over UCF (10/25); and a 2-0 victory over Old Dominion (11/11) at the Conference USA semifinals … He totaled 771 minutes on the year.

2015 (FRESHMAN): Redshirt season.

PREP/CLUB CAREER: Was a four-year letterwinner at University School in Fort Lauderdale…Was named a Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald All-County selection in 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15…Named team MVP in 2013-14 and 2014-15…Also played for the Kendall Soccer Academy in 2014-15 for Head Coach Johnny Ramos and the Plantation Academy from 2005 to 2014 for Jimmy Sotter…His 2013 Plantation club won the Disney Showcase.
 
PERSONAL: Born in Tamarac, Fla…Son of Kathryn Booth…Has an older sister, Diandra…Plans on majoring in Sports Management at FIU ... In the spring of 2016, Booth was invited to the Jamaica National U-20 training camp in Kingston, Jamaica.
