2013 (Sophomore): Appeared in two games…Logged 16 minutes, playing 12 minutes vs. North Florida (9/20) and four minutes vs. Marshall (10/6).
 
2012 (Freshman): Played in all 18 games this year with five starts… Took 15 shots with six on goal… Had a season-high four shots on goal against FAU (10/30)… Played a total of 700 minutes with a season-high 64 against Jacksonville (9/2).
 
Prior to FIU: Played forward at West Boca Raton High School…. Scored 20 goals his junior season and was a two-time, all-county selection… A player on the Kendall SC club team in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy… Scored nine career goals and had 11 assists in 18 games during the 2011-12 season. 
 
Personal: Born September 8, 1993 in Rochester, Minn…. Son of Heidi and Tim Mattek… Has three siblings, Bethanie, Alison and Chad… His sister Bethanie plays professional tennis… Plans to play professional soccer after graduation… Majoring in international business.
